Had the pleasure of working with the legendary Larry Dotson, who at the time had just finished shooting on Robert Redford's new film. Finding a court to shoot in is a challenge that every indie filmmaker will most likely have to face in their careers. My advice, just march through the red tape, fill out your paperwork and be sure to dot your I's and cross your T's.
If you are in a larger town you can utilize the local film commission. They are usually very helpful. Just be professional and have all of your ducts in a row. We filmed this scene in Corsicana, Tx. I have to say they are the nicest people and the most "film friendly" town I have yet to shoot in. A big shout out to Corsicana.
